Fable III is coming out for the PC.
Who smells mods?
Because it's just so much easier to download and use PC mods rather than xBox mods.

Well there's going to be cross platforming gaming with fable 3 so you'll witness those mods eventually whilst getting the xbox experience.

this thread needs purpose. direction. this simply won't do.

so i'll say that i did some searching and i gather that the cross platform online has only been heavily rumored so far. people on multiple reputable websites seem to think it might or have heard it, but it has not been officially confirmed.

what i wonder is, if a modded weapon is created for the PC, can it then be traded to an xbox character?

That would be pretty nice seeing as I can barely develop any mods and won't be able to enjoy any Fable III mods (I'm using a laptop).

This is a logic thing. The answer is no, the unmodded game will not have the assets or definitions needed to make the item work.

not quite sure i understand. if it's say a rubber chicken sword, then the modder undoubtedly made custom textures and models to make it so. that i can understand. but say a modder took advantage of the weapon morphs and created a sword they liked, with its own stats. why would that be a problem?

Although steam compatibility would be nice. I imagine Microsoft want to get more people using Games for Windows Live.

I'm mainly a PC gamer, but I've just gotta get Fable III for my XBox
Keep the tradition and I hate PC games (except for MMOs) without the ability to purchase them on Steam
