Your Fable 3 Home

I read this article it had a lot of good stuff and got me thinking...

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/101462-E3-2010-Fable-3-Hands-On

If you max out your castle size from taxes and go from room to room customizing will you be penalized for spending time away from governing? or will how much time you spend judging crimes effect the kingdom?

Also comments on the article and its talking hero, number of followers you need to overthrow logan... just read it and and comment

Re: Your Fable 3 Home

"You could buy buildings in Fable 2 and buy furniture for them, but the most impact you had was to decide which bookshelf you wanted. In Fable 3 you'll be able to customize virtually any building in the entire game. Put books on your bookshelf. Make them green or make them skulls. Or skip the bookshelf and put in a stove. Put some fruit on the dinner table, or perhaps candles. Or skip the table entirely and just lay down a nice rug. I didn't get to see any of that in action, unfortunately, but I hope it works as described. "

I hope this is true, hopefully we'll have some visual evidence soon.

Wow it sounds cool, I hope they release some evidence of this

Re: Your Fable 3 Home

People are ignoring my question. If you spend time doing something that takes up time like redecorating your castle will you miss other events?

Overall will certain events be planned for certain times?
Example a raid will happen in Brightwall on the 50th in game day at midnight but at the time you might be in Bowerstone, and thus you lose followers in the town due to death. However if you are in Brightwall during the raid you vanquish the raiders and gain followers because they see you can care for and protect them? but I do not know and quite honestly it is driving me near madness.

Re: Your Fable 3 Home

We probably know as much as you.

If such an event should occur, I'd assume it would be like:

"Brightwall is being raided, get there in 3 days (no idea the time, this is just a random guess of distance) or else the raid will be successful."

I think your people may get ****ed at you spending their taxes on decorating your castle to the max. If they put in a feature like this then I wouldn't expect that it would cause you to miss a huge game event. However, I don't think Lionhead will pause the gameworld so that you can decorate the castle.

Re: Your Fable 3 Home

Also, I don't believe this feature will be as good as you all seem to think. I bet there will be about 5 different things you can put on a table. Just you wait.

I was giving an example of something that takes a long time to do. Also if Albion is very prosperous I do not think the subjects will mind if you dip in and take about 5-10% for your personal comfort.
