It better be yours, that's all I'm saying. I don't need my profile getting all stretched out and defaced with your heathen athletics and animals and weather and ****.

Speaking of which, we've never actually argued about the weather. We'll have to work on that.

Also, is it weird that after roughly four years of not playing Fable, I'd convinced myself that the Greatwood Gorge area didn't exist, and that I dreamt it, and now that I decided to play Fable again, and I found out it did exist, I was overjoyed?

Arseface commented on Arseface's post on your profile! Exciting.

Also... that's kind of sad. Why would you convince yourself of that? Not just sad, kinda odd.

I didn't mean to. I just remembered the region a couple of days ago when I reinstalled Fable, and I couldn't remember where it fit in, and I do have weird recurring dreams sometimes, so in light of the fact that I couldn't remember where it was, I just decided I must have dreamt it.

That's... more than a little odd.

But that brings up a good question. Where DID Greatwood Gorge go in F2?

It'd be somewhere between Bower Lake and Brightwood, wouldn't it?

That's what I don't like about Fable II. None of the locations line up with the original Fable, except maaaaaybe Wraithmarsh

As I recall at one point I went through and pored over maps until I was convinced that they DID line up.

For instance, Bowerstone Old Town=Bowerstone South, Fairfax Gardens (probably)=Bowerstone North, Lookout Point was swallowed up by Bowerstone Market, the Heroes Guild was completely annihilated into Bower Lake and combined with some of Greatwood. Things like that.

Yeah, but the parts that do line up look nothing like anywhere from the old Fable. 500 years is not an appropriate geological timeframe for lakes and hills to form ovver buildings.

I had rationalized it as deliberate destruction, combined with, I don't know, rockslides.

There were a couple lakes and streams by the Guild and Guild woods, as well as Greatwood and Lookout Point, weren't there? A rockslide in the right place could have dammed up a creek and formed a lake.

Or the people could have torn apart the Guild, for instance, and dumped the rubble in some place that blocked up a stream and formed a lake.

Dunno. Still seems pretty implausible that they managed to sink the entire guild.

But there's nowhere else that even looks the same as it used to, except the Oakvale bit in Wraithmarsh

Well, Bowerstone was obiously built up and bulldozed over and so on. I'll admit that the other areas don't bear much resemblance, but it could just be that roads have shifted, paths have changed, different parts of the forest have been cleared and subsequently grown over again.

500 years might not be much geologically, but it's plenty for a forest.

Also, I wasn't thinking so much sunk the guild as tore it down. Some of it was buried, obviously, but the Chamber of Fate was already underground, wasn't it?

And the rest was described as tomb, no? Obviously, they buried someone there after they trashed the guild.

Also, I thought we were going to make YOUR profile all freakishly distended?
Arseface

I guess. I still would have liked more resemblance.
