I'm not 100% sure on that, but I know dogs have good night vision.

I googled 'dog night vision.' This is the first article that came up.

Wikipedia is useful, but it can sometimes be wrong. Not to mention what you've quoted has nothing to do with night vision specifically.

wats the point of having a cat. Thed dog in fable 2 helped you finish off enemies and find treasure. What would the cat do? Chase mice? Scratch enemies? Get chased by dogs? NO. And whats the point of pets stealing for you.

a balverine or a hobbe would make a nice pet...
also you might teach your pet to search for certain stuff (like in fallout)
i would like it if the king in fable 3 has acces to exotic pets... and im guessing since we can go to other continents in the game well have acces to more exotic wildlife to slay >=) (i just hope samarkland still has some dragons left)

A monkey would be great. It could go under the enemies shirt, or pants. Distract them, while you chop there heads off. Or something. And, if the enemie has a key or weapon or something. It could bite the hand, and take it away. And give it to you.

A bird would be good. Like a falcon or hawk. Scouting ahead to warn you of danger, swooping on enemies from above during fights, etc. And it's a more regal pet than a dog.

Personally, I wouldn't want anything more than a dog or a horse. Things like birds and monkeys aren't prevalent enough to be realistic pets for your hero.

Horses should be more of tool rather than pet.... but eh...
I prefer a cat over a dog. I have my own cat lol. A cat could pounce on enemies and scratch them to death. ALthough this doesnt seem much, A cat is crazyhard to get off. I once tried taking my cat downstairs, and it so happens that its very afrai when people try to take him downstairs,(he prefers to do it himself) He freakin stuck on to me,with is claws and it hurt. Well that was a long time ago. And anyway, a cat could grow nto a large wildcat like a tiger or something.... It is fable afterall, it doesnt have to be to realistic.

I am sorry, but cats are just lame...-they are so lazy and something...-to me elephants are the best (pure strenght and everything) it would make the perfect pet for a king.

I hope they put in a dog again, although I won't be heartbroken if they don't. Other pet options would be awesome. Some consept art sudjests that there will be a dog again.
