Do you prefer using mods and trainers in the beginning?

Well, I couldn't think of a better title than this. But, I've been wondering and came onto a questions I couldn't seem to answer myself, seeing as I cannot choose. The title is kind of self-explanatory; do you like to ''cheat'' right in the beginning, whereas you use trainers and mods to give you armour, XP and more, or not?
It seems that I want to try to ''cheat'' once... but my mind tells me not to. Anyhow, what are your thoughts on this matter? ^_^
