Estimated Trade-In Deals

I usually pop down to GAME to trade in games and I'm sick of hearing a crap offer for a fairly new game. It's a wasted journey.

I was wondering if anyone knew a website that estimated the value of a game?

Re: Estimated Trade-In Deals

nope, the best i could do is offer an estimation personally based on my experience.
brand new (like weeks old) - $25-28
1-3 months - $13-18
1 year - $5
if it's a sports game, it's worth $1-2 after a year or so because nobody buys the edition from a year ago. sad, really. but these stores make only 5-6% profit on a new game or console. most of that money goes to the company who makes it.
their profit is mostly comprised of used sales, so you can see why it's a little unbalanced.

Re: Estimated Trade-In Deals

I remember purchasing Metal Gear Solid 2 for £38.99, completing it 100% in a weekend and taking it back and them giving me £12 for it. Bare in mind i purchased it the day it came out so by the time i traded it in it had been out for 3-4 days.

I would suggest selling games on either Amazon or eBay.

Re: Estimated Trade-In Deals

It's a bit late but I found this website.

http://www.cex.co.uk/

It tells you the trade-in prices. It's accurate too. It offered £22 for Red Dead and that's also how much Gamestation offered me.

I just thought I'd post it if others were interested. There's also a US version too.
