Fallout: New Vegas

VEGAS!!!! WOOOOO!!!
ANOTHER FALLOUT! WOOOO!!!

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout:_New_Vegas

As some of you may or may not have heard, there is a new Fallout coming out sometime in 2010.

This is good.

I noticed it is not a direct sequel, but still will be done with the same engine and style as Fallout 3.

This too, is good.

I am incredibly excited to see any trailers or screenshots of it, and being the major Fallout Nerd I am will probably pee myself. As will some of you i'll bet.
I like the idea of being in post-apocalyptic Las Vegas, think about it! Ghoul Blackjack dealers, Super Mutie bouncers. The possibilities are endless!

Can't wait to loot my first Casino with a combat shotgun and Pre-war hat.

I have to say, that I really loved the gameplay and setting of Fallout 3. I just couldn't get past the difficulty curve.

Oh god, I can't wait for the next Fallout installment.

Hopefully they add some more customization to the guns, like being able to paint them different colors/camo's and adding scopes and silencers.

And maybe they won't ignore stealth as much, this time around.

I heard it's being made by bethesda and part of the original fallout team who worked on the ORIGINALY planned fallout 3 that never made it to shelves.

Fallout 3 was amazing. Stopped playing it now but I can't wait for this. Another game to get in 2010.

Yeah, but I'm a massive *****. I don't like venturing out into the wilderness if there even a remote chance that I'll get accosted by a scary looking mutant thing.

I got past that in Oblivion by being able to become completely invisible.

Re: Fallout: New Vegas

its being developed by obsidian entertainment, meaning itll be made by some of the people that made the first 2 games. shoop-da-whoop. i cannot tell you how happy i am that bethesda are not making this game. not because fallout 3 was worse than the first two, but because it means theyll be freed up to do tes 5! provided bethesda dont start fallout 4 now...
oblivion
morrowind = better than fallout 3.

though, according to the wikia link bethesda is publishing the game. new vegas will also use the same engine as fallout 3...and as firis said, will have some of the team from 3.

i never played 1 or 2, but i thoroughly enjoyed 3. it's much easier to pick up for a non-rpg player so my friends who are oblivion-illiterate can still enjoy it. it has some of the most entertaining weaponry i've ever seen, and a good sense of humor to boot. dunno how good its prequels were but:
fallout 3 - 9/10

Re: Fallout: New Vegas

Personally I thought that, although fallout 3 was good, the wasteland lacked much substantial character. I spent AGESSSSS roaming in Oblivion, and compared to that my Fallout days were relatively shjort. It was still a beast of a game, and I shall be picking up New Vegas shortly after it comes out.

Re: Fallout: New Vegas

They said that the people behind Fallout and Fallout 2 are helping Bethesda with Fallout: New Vegas. So original Fallout fans that despised Fallout 3, may enjoy this game too.

Apparently, Elder Scrolls 5 is due in 2010 as well. How Bethesda can make two MASSIVE games in this amount of time is beyond me.

Fallout 3 > Oblivion. Fallout 3 has a much better story and the game isn't as farfetch'd. Oblivion is just what you'd expect a typical "i'm a very lonely nerd that dreams to be a dark mage" kind of game to be.

Re: Fallout: New Vegas

The game isnt being created by Bethesda: It's devolped by Obsidian. Bethesda are just the publishers.

Btw I agree with your description of Oblivion lol, but I still prefer it to Fallout 3.
