Game suggestions?

Im looking for a new game to play as i've recently beat all my favorites, i have halo 3 and black site area 51 but i don't like them much as i don't like the idea of playing as a character thats the *ultimate* soldier or along those lines.
Are there any games that have similarties to dead space in the aspect of being a survival horror game where the main character has just been thrown into the situation? (If you haven't played dead space, i mean your were never meant to acually be a solider or anything)

Anything along those lines but it'd be sick if it had a freaky back story with odder then human Antagonist.

I think I have a decent understanding of what Dead Space is like even though I've never played it. If you want something like that, though, get Doom 3. It's awesome!

Well, In Prototype you sometimes feel like a god. You should definitely try it. But a warning: It gets repetitive after awhile.

You can pick up Bioshock and Oblivion: Elder Scrolls in a 2 game package in a local HMV or GAME. These are awesome and must have games and I think it only costs £30 for the deal !

I've heard good things about bioshock so ill look into the game more.

As for oblivion i've heard it is both very good and very bad so ill have to do more looking onto that one too lol.

Oblivion kicks ass. So does Bioshock. So does Fallout.

Bioshock definitely got that "thrown into the situation"- feeling. Plus it is all-around pure awesomesauce.

Your description almost perfectly describes The Suffering. Its an xbox original but will play on 360 (it will on mine any way). Oddly the sequal doesnt however. Grab yourself an original xbox for 40 bucks and check out both, bad ass games. Doom 3 is also exelent the first time around.

Fallout 3 sounds like something you might enjoy, if you're into RPG's. Easily 150+ hours of game time from it.

The suffering seems like a sick game acually ill see if i can find it anywhere, bio shock seems cool enough ill see if i can find a used copy at game stop. Never played fall out, isn't it a racing game?

I don't get why Bioshock is so incredibly popular. I rented it and beat it, but I wasn't too impressed. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great.

But seriously, Doom 3 totally throws you into a situation, and it's scary as sh*t.

FEAR is a good survival horror first-person shooter.
it may look like a normal human antagonist...but as the game developes you learn otherwise.

lol the left 4 dead series is kind of a given
