Gatling Gun

Fable III needs this. A Gatling gun. Bringing back the certain skill level required to use a weapon, I think that once your strength and skill levels are high enough, you should be able to hold these on their own and crank them yourself.

Re: Gatling Gun

no to mine or his, because mines accurate to the time period, and it would allow players to have a lot of fun with it. The organ guns a bit old, more for between fable 1 and 2.

Would be fun, mowing down wave after wave of hobbes, bandits, aurorians. To be brutally honest though I can really see it happening in a Fable game.

Re: Gatling Gun

if they put a gatling gun in fable 3 the playingfield would be uneven unless it was in first person minigame or something

gomu gomu nooooooo.........

that's a little much if you ask me. how are you expected to wheel around something like that wherever you go? if anything maybe enemy forces could use it, but just that if that.

Re: Gatling Gun

i agree cheez, unless it is used during the war between continents, by npcs, the hero is too powerful and wouldn't need to use it..

Re: Gatling Gun

I could see it on a battle field, but not for individual use. That would be too much. What's the point of swords and magic if you have a gattling gun?

Re: Gatling Gun

I think that if it is to be used at all then it will be a fixed weapon that can only be used at a certain part of a quest. Let's say for example the player has to hunt down a camp of bandits who have stolen a bunch of Military grade equipment from a wagon convoy, the hero may have to go into the camp, (which is defended by a bandit manning a stolen gatling gun) take the bandit on the gun out before being given the option to turn it on the rest of the bandits. I think that a scenario such as this may be plausible, but I don't think such a weapon would be portable. A gatling would have to be fired from a fixed position, however I can see manning cannons as a more likely option than the gatling gun. A cannon sequence would probably be something similar to the Defence of Monteriggioni sequence from the Assassins Brotherhood gameplay demo.

Maaaybe as part of a side quest...defending a town or something...I can't really see it happening though.

this is fable, not red dead redemption. our bandits only kidnap citizens and rob farms. besides, they are dirt stupid. they have zero chance of pulling one over the military.

there is only one person capable of carrying a minigun

and if a spartan can pull a missile pod or a gatling gun out of it's emplacement and walk around with it, then a hero can. it would ruin every other combat mechanic in the game, and therefore shouldn't be put in.
