most anime never goes to far, because usually it follows the magna series then it hits a point where it has to deviate or else it becomes predictable and boring, at that point they have to end it... while ninja shows (DBZ, Inuyasha and Naruto always stay on for a while is because they are independant, the show came out then the magna came out, not the other way around)
