AWESOME MOVIE! You should Watch and Wait for the Next two movies to come out. Read the Books.

EDIT*

The Book itself was less action.

Can't believe you liked it...

And there will be ONE movie split into TWO parts.

Filmwise:

1st: Decent.
2nd: Decent.
3rd: Pretty good.
4th: Awesome!
5th: Eh, not too bad.
6th: Boring

I'd actually rate the 1st one as "Pretty damn good". I liked the first one, and to a second degree the second one, because it introduced both us and Harry to a whole new world of magic and wonder. The whole... discovery was what made those two great, books and movies.

Re: Harry Potter!

I like the series, 3rd one the most, HBP and Deathly Hallows were mediocre, could and should have been better.
The films don`t live up to the book, but they are decent. I very much like Rupert Grint as Ron, he is one of my favorite characters both in the book and the movie. Never liked Harry. And Hermione, what`s not to like in Emma Watson.

Re: Harry Potter!

Speaking of Emma Watson, she pulled a "Paris Hilton" when she got out of the car at the premiere of the latest movie.

Just FYI. :shifty:

Re: Harry Potter!

I saw the movie yesterday, wasn't bad, deffinately like Chamber Of Secrets and Order of the Pheonix the most (Never read past the first book) but I liked this one, the lack of Ralph Fiennes saddened me :( He is my second fav actor.

Re: Harry Potter!

Although I read quite a bit, a big part of me is films. I'm not comparing to the Half-Blood Prince book, since I never read it. But after the movie, I must say, Harry Potter 6 wasn't action-packed enough, nor was it an intense drama, to be a whopping 2 hours and 30 minutes long. Some recent movies that were long were King Kong, Casino Royale, and of course, The Dark Knight. None of these three films made me feel restless from sitting in a theatre for 2 and a half hours.

And with the movies always being worse than books, it's true. The Godfather, the best film of all time, still isn't better than the book it was based on.

I miss Voldemort, and I was hoping to See Nymphadora nude at least once... They said it was gvetting darker and more mature after all... What is next anyway? Deathly Hollows I believe? And is that the last one I assume... They better do it soon before the Twilight fan girls swarm the movie theatres, it's almost like a war now...

Re: Harry Potter!

I have to say I really like Half-blood Prince. This chapter was intended to be more dramatic as it focuses more on the maturing of the characters and the deeper development of the story(i.m.o.). The lack of action did nothing to deter me from enjoying the movie as much as I had. Personally, I tend to enjoy story over action and the change of pace was just fine. Now I'm off to go read the book!

Re: Harry Potter!

HBP didn`t have much action, but to me it was because HBP was like an introduction to the series finale. As if HBP and Deathly Hallows was one book split into two, HBP just set up the scene and Deathly Hallows ended it with a bang... or many.

Well after watching it, the movie isn't bad, however it's not very good either, it's very long.

2 hours of pretty much nothing, 5 minutes of fighting undead in a cave with fire, Snape kills Dumbledor, "I am the half-blood prince", funeral, movie ends.

Yes, at least in the book. Harry saw a phoenix figure emerging from Dumbledore`s grave, which lead many fans to believe Dumbledore had made his phoenix (whatever the name was) into a Horcrux, and since phoenixes are immortal, Dumbledore would be immortal too - was just a theory.
