[L4D2] The Passing

The Passing, the first L4D2 DLC, is now available for 560 MP on the Xbox and is free on the PC.

Let me just say... it's awesome. A worthy addition to the L4D2 campaign.

Have fun with it, never decided to waste my money on the exact same thing as L4D just with four different skins and a gun.

I will watch it on youtube just for the thrill of seeing Zoey and the gang again.

Downloaded it earlier when i saw this thread so thanks for letting me know !

Here is what i thought of the DLC. SPOILERS AHEAD !!!111!!!11!!:

I thought it was a hell of a lot better than the Crash Course DLC for L4D1.
I thought the inclusion of the survivors from the first game was really good but they were
extremely underused which really annoyed me ! Gameplay was really fun and is now one of my favourite campaigns out of the lot. We find out how they met up with the L4D2
Survivors and we also learn that someone didn't make it . . .

Bill is the one who has died ! It will be shown in an upcoming comic and/or in the next DLC for L4D1 in a months time (getting this for sure)

The weather changes each time you do the campaign. It is always raining, sometimes mediocre, but it can get as bad as it does in Hard Rain. BTW some times you an see the Midnight Riders Tour bus drive past near the start of the 2nd chapter after leaving the Bar It's at the end of the road works behind the wire fence. You can also find the baseball bat which you could only find if you pre-ordered L4D2 originally.

Just checked; no dead body. It was probably a fallen survivor they killed, which can spawn with a coat that looks a lot like Bill's.

Mutation mode; a new mode of play every Friday. This week it's Realism Versus.

Plus 360 players are busy trolling on the L4D forums about how they have the DLC and PC gamers don't...along with giving away all the spoilers and basically winding everyone up :lol:

They have this new mode called Mutations. Haven't tried it yet but sounds awesome ! Mutations are various game modes, which will be introduced each week by Valve. Among the upcoming Mutations are:

Realism Versus: Realism mode combined with Versus mode.

Chainsaw Massacre: Each player will only have access to a Chainsaw with unlimited fuel. In this Mutation, it appears that the Survivors go through regular campaigns, only using the unlimited fuel Chainsaws. It is unknown if throwable weapons will still be allowed.

They do get it for free though so only fair paying people get it first. If it was free DLC for both then simultaneous release should be in force though.

It's more to do with the fact that both platforms were to have the DLC released simultaneously - had that not been the case, then no one would be fussed. But because they were assured it would be and it hasn't delivered, they're upset about it. It's the principle more than anything.

I will get this game when they make a patch to get rid of the Aus censorship.
