Modern Warfare 2 to Get the Comic Book Treatment

Infinity Ward's Community Manager, Robert Bowling, recently announced via his Twitter (yes, we know, Twitter this, Twitter that) that they had recently teamed up with DC Comics and Wildstorm to create an upcoming Modern Warfare 2 comic series.

Bowling stated that the comic series, named Modern Warfare 2: Ghost, would be broken up in to 6 pieces and in Bowling's words, "trust me, it's hardcore." Little else is known about the series just yet, we've just got some concept and cover art to keep you amused.
Details are scarce at the moment, but as it breaks, we'll inform you.

off topic: when playing Nazi zombies: der riese upgrade your pistol and you'll gat a grenade launcher pistol that kills all zombies in range of the explosion

Im just glad to see that not only have they stepped away from the WWII idea they are broadening their horizons even more. I actually want to see Infinity Ward work on something that isnt Call Of Duty and for this reason any new projects are a bonus to me.

Played every one of them and the first 2 are 2 of my most played games ever, used to Mod it back in the day too and spoken to fourzerotwo briefly about it so id say i know a decent amount. =]

Modern Warfare 2’s adding a new weapon to its arsenal of modern media blitz tactics, Infinity Ward announced today. Joining games like Dante’s Inferno and Star Wars: The Old Republic, Modern Warfare 2’s getting its own comic book miniseries, starring a ghastly ghoul named Ghost.

Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling gave MTV Multiplayer a brief description of the series.

“The ‘Modern Warfare 2: GHOST’ comic is a 6-part series delving into the, more legend than history, backstory of Ghost. The series takes place before his inclusion in Taskforce 141 and as such before the events of Modern Warfare 2; focusing more on the origins of his character, the mask, and his ‘Ghost’ moniker,” he said.

Wildstorm, a branch of DC Comics, is set to publish the bullet-riddled rag.

We can’t wait to crawl under our covers and read it with our official Modern Warfare 2 night vision goggles. Being the biggest geek in history has never been so manly.

This comic is going to be epic and I don't agree with you Daemon.

These comics will be adding a little more fame to the legend-in-progress that is, the Call of Duty franchise.
