Monsters and Quests?

now as i said in my technology post, i would ike to see the hero being able to ride a boat. Now the ocean is a whole new territory. I think it would be real neat to be able to fight a monster like a kraken, or a quest having to go underwater for lost treasure or some hidden relic.

Another aspect i thought would be cool is: what if there was another kids quest? like i remember the quest on rescuig your kid from hobbes in fable 2. But what if there was a quest where your kid ( or kids) is ( or are) complaining about a "boogie man" in the closet or under the bed. So the hero goes in to investigate and he is sucked into the closet or under the bed, by a viscious demon or monster, and the hero has to battle his way out and slay the monster so his kids wont be scared anymore. Just an idea. Cool or no?

Re: Monsters and Quests?

Already fought a kraken in TLC. Boats are silly. Actually imagine steering a boat all the way across an ocean in a game? LAME.

Re: Monsters and Quests?

Must say, the kid(s) quest idea is kind of interesting,
However, the sailing thing..I guess it'd be fun if you like the whole sailing aspect.

Still, would really like to see some little side-quests for your children.

I don't really like the second idea about being sucked under the bed but the first one would be so cool! You could fight like sea creatures like Hydras and everything, I hope they add that to Fable 3.

Make the sailling like Sid Meier's Pirates and I'm so there.

Think the kids thing sounds a bit lame though. I like the idea, though, just not the under the bed example.

Ogres, Griffins, Dragon(s), Pheonixs, Golems, Spider-things

-all done fable style, a twist from the convetion. Fable generally favour humanoid enemies - no reason why they can't make a Phoenix, griffin or spider stand up.

i think that kraken in fable 1 sucked. I think something lke in pirates of the carribean is a kraken. And thats worth fighting. The object is to use will powers, and cannons from your ship to kill it. Just sayin

Re: Monsters and Quests?

I'd like a sea battle against some pirates, but going underwater for a quest doesn't seem very cool.

I'd rather have my kid grow up into a teenager or young adult, and take them on a quest with me than do a quest for them.

The new clash of the titan's kraken looks even sicker

I like the boogeyman idea. Come home one day and your kid tells you about his new super best friend Chesty.
