More than one profile?

My freind says that i can have more than one porfile. I dont get that. If i hit new game and play it and save will it over write my other one? And will it let me choose wich one if i hit continue?

it will not save over ur first character it will simply add to one of the empty cards

Yes, and you have six slots. If you add a memory card you can have more. Just be careful to not fill all your slots (like I did once) and get screwed by thinking you can have a new game and then going thru all the tutorial crap and then trying to save and couldn't and just wasted a bunch of time.
