Most people are probably aware of Bungies upcoming shared world shooter Destiny so here is the latest footage they have released with a couple of new articles. The footage is taken from one of the Strike Missions (co-op wave based game mode & boss).

They have also said they want to bring in the Halo Forge mode for Destiny but arent ready to reveal details on this just yet.

They also explained why they have decided to disable the ability to trade items between friends for launch.

''We’re really excited about creating a player economy, this is going to be a game that the community really drives, but for launch we’re going to be restricting it to trading items between your own characters.''

Bungie is still learning how Destiny’s economy works, in addition to the “security situation for both our systems and all platforms.” Player-to-player trading will open up as soon as Bungie is able to enable it, but until then you’ll only be able to trade items between your own characters.

After Microsoft dropped the Kinect and released a new development update which freed up some resources its seems Xbox One owners and developers are already going to see the difference. More games are going to be hitting 1080p from now on out according to Microsoft, though it is still down to developers choice.

Destiny hitting 1080p/30fps on Xbox One & PS4 say Bungie

The game is scheduled for release on PS3,PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on September 9th.

Peter Dinklages Destiny performance has already been updated

If Bungie's successful Destiny alpha faced any harsh criticisms, it was that actor Peter Dinklage's performance as the player's AI companion was a little, well, too robotic. But the publisher has reported that Dinklage's dialogue has already been "updated" for the beta, and will be updated again before the game is released proper in September.

"Funny thing about Alpha builds…they’re not done. Please pardon our Moon dust!" the most recent Bungie newsletter read.

Bungie have released some new footage of the upcoming Beta. It mixes gameplay footage with details of what to expect from the upcoming public test, with insight from Bungie community manager David Dague, head of community Eric Osborne, and lead designer Lars Bakken.

The Destiny beta will commence this Thursday, July 17 on PS4 and PS3, and on July 23 on Xbox One and Xbox 360. It will remain open on all formats until July 27 at 11:59 pm PDT.

The beta will provide registered players with three download codes so they can invite two friends to join them.

It was rumoured earlier this week that the Destiny beta will include four story chapters, four competitive multiplayer maps and a cooperative Strike, among other features. Progress made in the beta could carry over to the final game.

It's rare for me to ever be excited for a shooter, but I can honestly say I'm looking forward to this bad boy.

Microsoft doesn’t have permission to run adverts on the Xbox One version of Destiny- so it isn’t. Instead it is taking a fun little jab at Sony’s exclusivity deal with Bungie by launching Destiny the fragrance- an unofficial marketing campaign in order to make sure people know that Bungie’s next big game isn’t just launching on the PS4.

Currently Bungie and Activision are bound to Sony thanks to the content and advertisement exclusivity deal, which lasts until next year’s holiday season. So instead of advertising the game itself, Microsoft is advertising Destiny… the fragrance.
