As someone who has a guilty pleasure for survival games this game seemed to come out to nowhere. Despite being announced a couple of years ago it hadnt even been on my radar and I hadnt even heard of it, then as soon as it hit early access it seemed to blow up. Seems most people have heard of it now for one reason or another and it has sold (at time of writing this) 6 million copies in 4 days (86,000 copies per hour at one point) and its All-time peak concurrent player count tops 1.7 million players (2nd highest Steam game ever). It has now passed Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, Elden Ring, and Baldur’s Gate 3 on the way. The title is also available of Game Pass and player numbers on this platform havent been confirmed yet.

The game is like a mash up of Valheim/Ark and Pokemon in a hybrid survival game skin and it actually plays pretty well and the gameplay loop has a satisfying hook to pull you in. The game currently has a 93% Very Positive rating on Steam and with some updates based on community suggestions and bug fixes it could be a title that lasts some time if done right.​

The title has now gone on to sell 8 million copies in less than 6 days and its All-time peak concurrent player count has topped an astonishing 2.01 million. This is despite the fact that the title also launched on Game Pass on Day 1 and those player numbers havent been revealed as of yet.

Official data now shows that Palworld has 19 Million players in 13 days... (12 Million on Steam and 7 Million on Game Pass).
