Possible Fable 3 Weapons?

I'm just beginning to wonder what kinds of changes they'll be making to the types of weapons that your hero can wield in Fable III. Some of my thoughts were around the technology of the era. Here's some of the options I hope become available.

Dual Weapon wielding (not really a new weapon but a fun aspect)
Throwing Knives
Small Hammers/Maces
Bombs?
Whips
Great Swords
Pickaxes
New types of ammunition? Fire arrows, etc?
Staffs
"enchanted bodyguard" weapons (animated dolls, statues, golems, steampunk automatons)

Thoughts? Anything to add to the list?

The setting of Fable 3 doesn't really suit those weapons. Maybe whips because of all the factories.

i think they should bring greatswords back, but as lengendary weps, and mabey bring them back in the form of old weps (singing sword,i know that wasnt a wep in fable 1 but would be awsm, sword of aions, avos tear)

I'm kinda hoping for bows and arrows, but I don't know much about the setting so I wouldn't know :S

The weapons in Fable 3 will be basically the same as the ones in TLC and Fable 2. There won't be any kinds of things that you would throw like throwing knives or small bombs/grenades. Smaller melee weapons like daggers won't be in it either. Whips wouldn't do very much good in combat. You can't block with it, and it wouldn't do the kind of damage that a blade could do.

A few new weapon types wouldn't be bad, though. I could go for a staff and a scythe.

Dual wielding...hmm...I've always wanted dual wielding, but I don't think Molyneux will give it to us. When talking about how combat will make you feel powerful in one of his Fable 3 interviews, he said that he could give us 200 more weapons, and he could give us dual wielding, but he said that ultimately the morphing weapons will make us feel much more powerful than either of those other two options will.

I reckon they should put in a Singing Sword so that fanboys will get excited. But they should make it **** so only the noobish fanboys that think it has uber powers use it.

Sorry for the necro, but I wanted to ask a question and didn't want to make a new thread.

What do you guys think of the 'morphing weapons' PM is talking about. Personally I'm not to keen on the idea, most likely everyone will run around with the 'good' or 'evil' type of weapon. I for one would feel more powerful if he added a few good balanced legendary weapons.

I can see bo bs coming in because whisper threw sort of grenades at you I. Fable 1 and tlc . I'm hoping for knuckledusters also I wouldn't mind great swords coming back maybe if your strength was high your weapon could morth into a greatsword.

what with weapon evolution, i don't expect much diversity until you start using the weapon and it begins to transform.

i woukd like bow and arrows and the idea of being able to chanel spells through a staff is pretty cool, id definitly put that on my list

As long as you can have a big golden hammer, I'm happy. I like the weapon morphing idea cause it means it's your weapon. For example, "I've had this iron hammer for many years and it has served me well in combat, crushing many a foe. Unfortunately for all my sentiment, it is ****." The weapon morphing will give your dude a familiarity with his own weapon (as long as the hammer eventually becomes double-headed and doesn't stay as a puny looking claw hammer) and hopefully you'll be able to port them into Fable 4.

it has been confirmed that they morph and "level up" as you use them.
i would assume that to mean that they get stronger, yes.

exactly, they are trying to make it so that players create their own legendary weapons, name and all. ^_^

Id rather like to see sytche take a play and have a more darker play to fable. I mean your evil but besides mass killing your not that evil . I'd rather like to see will powers that cause people to burn into bits and hear real yells

What do you mean? Theres plenty to kill i was just want more malevolent ways to go about doing it, no fun to be evil and be limited to slicing people up, i want to torture the people
