The Sea Inside (Mar Adentro) - 10/10

By far the most creative & original film I've seen in a long time, with alot of very good philosophical messages. The acting is very real and believable, with a touching story. It's a Spanish film, that won an Oscar for best Foreign Language Film, and many other awards.

I highly recommend it.

It doesn't blow you away with special effects but the immersion is great and the storyline a winner. Great acting as well for the most part.

Pan's Labyrinth was very good! It was like two stories mixed together in a fantasy meets reality while leaving both intact.

I didn`t give it 10, because... well, I don`t know, there must be a better movie somewhere, but to me, 9 points is basically max and perfect.

Would like to see The Orphanage.

The Mist - this is a tough one. I`ll give it 7.5/10. Most of the movie was mediocre, the secret of the mist was kinda good, but the ending... this movie is worth watching because of the ending alone!

There were parts that constitute an "Epic Fail" and other parts that constitute an "Epic Win". All-in-all the majority of the movie was reminiscent of a Nike commercial.

I saw Ironman, I give it a 9/10.

Mostly becuase I just wanted to one-up Knight there, but also becuase it was a thrilling movie. The special effects were high in quality and delivered smoothly. The story was an absolute work of art, with it constantly bettering itself the more it goes on. I honsetly couldn't find anything wrong with the movie, but I give nothing a perfect score, just to be safe.

I would agree, the start was pretty good and some humour was good. However they didnt explain enough and left some characters stories very briefly explained. First half of the movie id say 7/10 and second half 6/10.

Transformers 9/10 - a great movie, very very nice visual and sound effects, a good-looking female :shifty: and the coolness of Ironhide.
But, the plot wasn`t that great, for example -

at the end when they want to escort the cube by air... why? they know they have at least 3 (Megatron, Starscream, Blackout) enemies who can turn into aircraft.

Well, I do agree with that.

Another movie: Saint Ralph 7/10 This is another American heartbreaking family comedy/dramas. At first, the movie seemed bad, but as it progressed, I really began to enjoy it. The humor of this movie was good, though sometimes bizarre.
If only it wasn`t ruined by a too predictable ending and some clichè stuff. There was something different about this movie.
And a good bonus is "Hallelujah", performed by Gord Downie and written by Leonard Cohen, very nice song.

A double post, but this is worth it.

The Orphanage (El Orfanato) - 10/10 another movie from Guillermo Del Toro (same as Pan`s Labyrinth). This one is a horror movie. Up until the very end, it`s a good movie, but the ending adds a nice twist. So I strongly recommend this to anyone.

And I`d like to change my Pan`s Labyrinth score from 9/10 to a perfect 10/10, because...
I wanted to say that I liked Pan`s Labyrinth slightly more, but those movies are very different so hard to compare.
