Skorm - he speaks!

Probably everyone else knows this already but even though the Oracle at Snowspire says that Skorm and Avo are fake gods, when I go to the chapel of Skorm, the Evil One speaks - I forget the first thing he says because I'm rubbish, but whenever I kick off on his acolytes, I get:
My acolytes are your channel to me. Now they shall show my anger
On a side-note whilst I'm either killing the acolytes or running from them (they are proper fast, by the way), their accents seem to change from gravelly voiced scary people to the ridiculous tones of the village idiots you get elsewhere...

Yeah I noticed that too.. I think it's really just the acolyte talking, but after you kill him the game lets him carry on talking..

Re: Skorm - he speaks!

But it's a totally different voice to that of the acolytes - it even talks before you are fully inside the chapel and in their vision - I just cannot remember what it says. When you are kicking off and the voice says "show my anger" etc, the acolytes have by then changed their voices to village idiots, saying things like "did you trip?" when they punch you and stuff...

I know for sure Avo says nowt, but it does seem like Skorm is perhaps more real than his devotees would like to admit....:ninja:

I've always thought it was a drunken middle aged man in the closet, in back of the chapel with a large microphone, and a talent to create a deep voice o_O

Re: Skorm - he speaks!

I've always imagined another Acolyte hiding on a supporting beam in the ceiling of the Temple whispering....

Re: Skorm - he speaks!

It's not a specific guard, just one of them saying "Lights out! Prepare for bed!"

Re: Skorm - he speaks!

"Lights out you'orrible lots!" Its the Guards saying it, along with "Shops are noooow open/closing!". I also think they say "Get up you lazy bunch o' layabouts!" when the sun rises.

Basicly it is just the game's way of telling you when it is midnight/morning and when the shops open/close.

Woah good memory for catch phrases you have there Tsuyu! I could remember all of them apart from the get up one>.<

Avo does speak.

He says,

"Welcome to my temple, this is where my acolytes worship. Please be Genorous in your donations"

or some such.

Skorms first bit is

"Welcome to my temple, this is where you can give sacrifices, and gain the poison of pure evil..."

thats the closets i can remeber at anyrate.

Re: Skorm - he speaks!

I thought he said
I AM THE GREAT AND POWERFUL SKORM!! PAY NO ATTENTION TO THAT MAN BEHIND THE ALTER!"

An then he gives you a bow as a symbol of the evil you always had inside you.
