Sleeping Issues

It's 04:33 and I'm here. Typing this. I've been trying to sleep for three hours and... Nothing.

It's become a regular annoyance and I'm not getting to sleep 'til around 6/7 and that's only if I force myself.

I mean, It's light outside for f*ck sake and I'm wide awake. It's officially dawn.

Any help or ideas?

Damnit ZJ, I try and stay awake until the early hours, end up falling asleep at 10:00 :( Stop with all the energy drinks, perhaps? :p

Even if you can't sleep, just laying there will give you two thirds of the physical and mental regeneration that sleep gives you.

Who the hell can just stay still for like, 8 hours? I'm rolling all over the place every five minutes finding a new position to sleep in because the side I'm sleeping on has gotten too hot.

But on cold nights when I can't sleep and I don't move around too much, I do feel slightly better than if I stayed up all night say, playing games.

So I guess with this new knowledge, just stay as still as possible and wake up early. Hell, I love doing it just to watch the sunrise.

I really should wake up earlier.

Re: Sleeping Issues

Around 6:00 PM I usually go for a jog. That helps me sleep.

This works for me aswell. Went for a jog for about an hour last night and I slept like a baby. Aside from my slightly aching joints, all is good :p

Re: Sleeping Issues

Just do what normal people do: Stay awake until you feel tired. Has something happened recently to alter your sleep patterns? I recently got RDR, and that's thrown my sleeping patterns around somewhat.

Maybe... I recently finished school. I used to go to sleep around 11 and wake up at 7:30. Now that I'm not in school, I have no major reason to sleep. Plus I got my Xbox back. So I'm playing that, too.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I'm drinking a Monster right now.

@Skotekal:

Funny enough, the sun was rising about 5 or 10 minutes after I made this thread so I kinda just watched it. 'Course, it was overcast and you couldn't see the sun... Just a huge orange sky.

Have you had any bad dreams lately? So vivid they seem real?

Re: Sleeping Issues

Ok. Well you're not an insomniac then. You probably just have a bad sleep schedule.
