Ok, is the answer "a krakan"?

"Hook is in the way" seems to imply hook coast, which is a sea town. The fountain always looked like a dragon head to me, but since Thunder's "Greatest deed" is probably how he brought down lightning upon a nest of Krakans when he saved his sister, I'm going to go with that.
