Your Favourite Guns
I have taken up rifle shooting in the past few months and I wanted to know what your favourite firearms were. Please don't say just the most popular guns and because they make a loud bang and they look cool.
Just 2 of my favourites.
Short Magazine Lee Enfield Mark III
One of the most iconic bolt-action rifles, the Mk III is still used today and is one of the last remaining british rifles left, another being the SA80. There have been accounts in WW1 of german troops claiming to have met machine guns when it was only a group of trained british soldiers with SMLE IIIs. I hope to be allowed to use the one the rifle club I go to has one day but I have used the No.8 conversion, which uses .22 rounds instead of .303
1873 Winchester Lever-action rifle
The 73 is at the top
One of the most famous wild west guns, The 1873 model has been known for its versatility. It was orginally made for the .44-40 cartridge but has also been made for the .38-40 and .32-20, with some modern versions able to use the .45 colt cartridge. I like this gun because of its simple lever action and because I have always liked guns from that era.
I will add another later.
