Just watched the dev diary #3 and at 1:24 you can see the hero holding the music box from fable 2.

i wonder why the heroes holding it? maybe unlocks heroes blood.

i'm not sure what do you guys think?

(i searched and didn't see anything about the music box)

lol i think the music box will be in it but its like bam its there then it disappears for years then appears when you die then come back with it poofed in your hands who knows its like a wierd object on acid that time travels lol
