Lady Gaga is not a bad singer. She's actually quite talanted. On top of that, I think the wierd fashion stuff she designs is really refreshing and pretty cool. No I'm not a fan; I listen melodic death metal. But Lady Gaga is a good thing for the world.
Lady Gaga definatley. Just industry garbage. There's no message behind her confusion just shock factor and sex. Allowing them to dress hirm up like an idiot is not bieng unique or original or rebellious just bieng exactly what they want trying to stupify and confuse the masses. Her whole deal is being herself and defying her parents and societies wishes sounds like a 14 year old to me.

I can too. Everyone can relate to bieng a little monster as she puts it. She gives freaks a home. Her stuff is catchy of course aswell. I just see through the thinly veiled sex magick and realize its nothing new and nothing helpful and there's no real nirvana or liberation in it. She's not going to any new levels in the music industry she's just going to the deepest depths of what it is. She is an idol don't get me wrong.
They're not a plague to the world, just a plague to the word talent.
I like what Lady Gaga has done for the LGBT Communities and her many charity acts, but her being a talented artist? Not nearly as much as her popularity would imply. She's a decent singer compared to others I've seen and it's refreshing to see that she actually writes her own music (as basic as it is), unlike so many others in that genre. But she's doing the same thing everyone else is doing, just a little bit differently with some controversy sprinkled on top. Nothing impressive.

I had to google William hung, im a rock/metal fan but i quite like Lady Gaga. Shes at least trying to do something different and not merely being a copy and paste artist like most have been the last decade. Also as Scott says she writes her own music at least.
For one thing, she doesn't Auto-tune, which is a plus. But I know, not all artists do that. But she also plays the piano. And not terribly, I must say. She sings well and can accompany it with key-instruments. She can put up a performance without the fancy clothing. But she doesn't want to.
Well, maybe your definition of 'talent' is different form that of mine, which is that a person has a talent for something if he or she is good at it. Significantly better than average, at least.

Her popularity would imply that her talent is of a high caliber. I'm not implying that she's talentless, just her talent doesn't match her popularity. Overrated. I don't think she's a bad singer, but she's no Lara Fabian either. I've yet to see Lady Gaga do anything that is sublime.
Thanks for clearing that out. It seemed a if you thought she didn't have much talent. She is pretty talented, but some people may overrate it. Though, she has an excellent singing voice.
Anyway, just clearing out the she's not a plague in the sense that she's a talentless force of destruction of the musical world (relentless -> talentless; anyone?). But sometimes the big hype around her is pretty damn annoying.
What I generally like about Gaga is that she's doing straight out pop and doesn't hide it. Kinda why you'd like Paris Hilton - she's doing everything she can to be what everyone thinks she is. How blonde can you get? How clown can you get?
What about them? They're Teen idols that will inevitably die out once they and their fans grow older, same with Disney's teens.
