I'm pretty sure you can shoot someone in the groin.

Hero's don't actually die, they just lose experience points.

yep just a kid the only problem is i have a mind of a 15 year old i dont know why its that i just fell in love when i heared fable 3 was a RPG i love rpg i like it because of the free roaming factor

Well, than to the questions.
with the school question, you can get the school but you have to take the good side to take the school. I'm not sure what happens if you shoot the teacher. for some reason the students and teacher only shows up right when you make the school. But that might just be my console.
