[Update 2] Skyrim: DLC will feature Snow Elves and more.

Guess we won't have to wait for Pete Hines now. Believe it or not, the information for the upcoming DLC for Skyrim has been sitting under our noses ever since the last patch (1.5.26). However thanks to Raestloz (on the official Beth forums) who had been digging through the PC patch files had found individual animation files belonging to the first DLC for the game.​

(Possible Spoilers) Among the new things you can expect in the 1st DLC are Snow Elves (aka the now Falmer), crossbows, vampire feeding animations (you might remember it from the Game Jam), and other things that cannot be figured out due to the file names. The Snow Elf entries indicate that the new DLC will revolve around or have something to do with the Snow Prince and his ascension.​

If the Falmer are involved I have to wonder about the Dwemer and what sort of role vampires may play (unless that's just a feature update and they play no role).​

Looks like it as that's where his body is buried, since we'll have to travel there by ship I hope there won't be a "no followers allowed" restriction like in previous games.

Along ass time ago a dude on /b/ or /v/ said he was working on The Elderscrolls V and said it was taking place in Skyrim/Solstheim. Everybody thought he was bullshitting till about 9 months later the announcement trailer came out :blink:. I had a pic of the saved thread but i have deleted it wish i kept it

Well I didn't know what this cheeky little island was, so I nipped over to UESP. Theres something about yaddiyadda and also Umbra, man I want that sword again. This could turn out to be a really sweet DLC.

That has to do with the book that came out not to long ago... hmm that would be cool if they worked that in some how. Umbras base dmg was strong but cus all it had was soul trap i fould that Goldbrand was a better sword IMO

Goldbrand would be a good addition too. Umbra just made me feel badass. Also weighed nothing if you didn't do the daedric quest which is a bonus.

Update, turns out the new DLC will be entitled Dawnguard after all.

The DLC will be unveiled in all its glory at E3, but other than what we already know from above they didn't release any info aside from the picture.

Naahh, they said it'll be released during the summer (June-August). Look on the bright side, at least you don't have to wait an additional 30 days like me.

My job has consumed all my time at the moment and will do for the next 3 weeks approx so fingers crossed I can toss life aside after that.

I hope they include the ability to cut you're hair and face paint, it really annoyed me that in such a customisable game you couldn't even change your damn hairstyle.
