  1. Add the ability for players to purchase in-game gear with real-life cash
  2. Reduce the amount of Gold/Items dropped in the game.
  3. Add a huge Gold sink by making Repairs cost you an arm and a leg - and lots of Gold.

I assume this is Diablo 3 (still havnt got round to getting it lol), revamp a quote I like (cough never back down cough) If you want to be the best you got to pay the most :P lol

Exactly. Wizard and Demon Hunters are easy mode. Inferno is still impossible for a Monk or a Barbarian. With the new huge Repair costs they've essentially put the nail in the coffin. Not to mention that they nerfed attack speed on items so Monks got nerfed even more.

Actually yes, the game is supposed to cater to single players. It is not WoW or any other MMO.

They messed up the game balance royally and to top it off they implemented a money grubbing of the same scale you'd expect from Electronic Arts.

Blizzard, I am disappoint.

*sigh*

Diablo 1 had multiplayer but was more than playable as singleplayer.

Diablo 2 likewise

So is Diablo 3 supposed to be.

There isn't supposed to be a class that can't solo.

It is not that hard to grasp. Blizzard effed up the balance.

I like how you're just ignoring the fact that certain classes can solo Inferno blindfolded. Plus the fact that every other difficulty is perfectly soloable.

In addition, if you have a Monk/Barb and get some friends to help you, you only get violated even harder because each additional player makes those impossible Elites even tougher and more harder hitting.

So yeah, it definitely isn't balanced for neither solo nor co-operative at the moment.

No but you listed, for example, the AH to strengthen your point. But your points are null and void anyway because besides the AH, all of those could be applied to D2 which was very much soloable.

Just how does the AH "enhance co-operative gameplay"? It doesn't. It exists to make trading easier, obviously. Trading was a big part of the other games.

Oh and after the Gold nerf and Repair "fix" it is there to shamelessly squeeze euros out of players, EA-style.

Whatever. Lets just agree to disagree. I am done with this steaming pile of... something nasty. It is a shame, because you'd be hard pressed to find a bigger fan of the original games than me.

Torchlight is amazing. I am eagerly awaiting the sequel.

I'm just saddened seeing something so close to my heart treated so poorly. It is being treated like one of those "Free2Play" games where you know everything is tailored towards making you spend cash in a "Cash Store" in the end*. If this is what the future holds in store for the Diablo franchise as you say, we have the right to be ****ed off (as evident on the official forums right now). It stinks of disgusting E.A lack of respect for players/customers and shameless money-grubbing.

*Except it isn't a Free2Play game.....

Actually pretty much the entire forum-using player base is in an uproar right now. D3 was an all-right game up until these changes (minus the fact that melee characters can't play on Inferno).

*sigh*

You're not getting it. You don't try and sneakily force your players to pay real cash like they're currently doing by making the game require more Gold through repairs and at the same time lowering the drop rate of Gold.
