Sounds more like an Activision attempt to monetize yet another franchise people hold dear. Always thought there was a danger of this happening to some titles after the merger.

Depends the way you see it. It's a fairly good co-op game, but its fault is that it was taken up by Activision and monetized. Besides, the game itself works nicely, but don't expect a Diablo 2 single player experience.

I prefer to play most of my games solo :/ Definitely not for me then.

EA ain't that bad anymore. Before the 00's, EA was actually a very nice company; they just got lost at some point.
