A thread rarely gets deleted unless it's really necessary - such as something very very bad in the rule-breaking department (spam, porn, trolling etc) or a duplicate thread. Closed threads are more common to stop arguments, stop bumping or just because they are so off topic there's nothing left of any value to be added to them.

I just noticed some of your posts and thought to meself "hmm..we appear to share some similar ideas" and figured it wouldn't hurt to fire a request and see if it was accepted or not. And if not, the crushing rejection would have passed over time...coupled with the therapy needed... and the suicidal tendencies...
