9500GT?

Hey guys, I've went and bought a sweet pc, but it only has onboard. (but has PCi-E 16X, of course)
I've been looking through a lot of graphics cards and I've mostly considered the 9500GT. I've ruled out the 1GB edition as many say there is no improvement.
I just need second opinions so I'm certain.

The most high end game I'll be playing is Assassin's Creed II, and I'm not too worried about it graphic-wise, however I am worried about lagg.

If there are any better cards (but still around $100-$130NZ) that you know of please, give me a shout.

Re: 9500GT?

Just load up on RAM and you'll be fine in the lag department.

That's if what I know about computers is correct, which it might not be.

Re: 9500GT?

I've figured out that I can actually save up enough cash for a 9800GT...then again I could stick with the 9500GT and get 2GB more RAM...
So which one to go for?

Re: 9500GT?

I'd go more RAM. The difference between the 9500 and the 9800 probably isn't even going to be noticable. Keeping that in mind, you'll want to optimise the rest of your computer, and RAM is where it's at for speed.

Re: 9500GT?

lol. 9500gt is ****. dont buy it. Id recommend the 8800gt but thats discontinued. Get a 9800gt.

Bigger number does not mean better graphics card.

8800gt > 9500gt,9600gt

If you have questions just look up benchmarks. Type *insert gfx card name* benchmarks

and how much ram do you currently have? And whats your cpu?

RAM is incredibly cheap nowadays. 25 bucks for like 4gb.

If you havnt already id suggest you buy off newegg.com
