Re: Abou the "Sanctuary"

I think the sanctuary will be a room in the castle. I think I heard that in an interview with Molyneux, although I cant remember where I read and/or heard it. Also it seems a bit weird to have your base camp/dressing room in the middle of your enemies castle for the first half of the game (before you capture it or something) so maybe I'm just remembering it wrong.

Re: Abou the "Sanctuary"

The Sanctuary isn't in any place that you can actually travel to, and it's location has not been specified. You just get there by pressing start.

Re: Abou the "Sanctuary"

i think was theresa idea to make Sanctuary

Re: Abou the "Sanctuary"

$30.00 USD says there's a bug. Just kidding! It's gonna be fresh and clean.

Re: Abou the "Sanctuary"

It better be, otherwise ill have wasted another £40-£60 on a game that hasn't been checked properly. Fable 2 was good, but there were quite a few bugs/glitches.
Anyway, i thought sanctuary was in the guild.

Pretty sure I read it was the Fable II hero who built the Sanctuary - no link or proof, sorry

Of course Theresa could have suggested the hero to built it?

Re: Abou the "Sanctuary"

where did get info that bowerstone hero/heroin made Sanctuary

Re: Abou the "Sanctuary"

The Sanctuary, also called "Guild Chambers" Will be the main operations base of the Hero of Fable III throughout his or her journey. The Guild Chambers (The Sanctuary) Will be accessible anytime as a Start, Pause menu.

Into the Sanctuary you can find rooms which contain all your items, information and anything that the old menus did in the past Fable games. However, this time you are capable to see your weapon, clothes and much else. Which is really a good improvement, also the lists were ugly and had glitches sometimes too.

This was said by Peter Molyneux himself at Develop Conference 2010, where he did show the first few minutes (15 minutes) of Fable III game-play. He said much, information about Fable III at the Develop Conference.

Re: Abou the "Sanctuary"

I had no problem with lists, I dumped the exess crap that I had and didnt use. I'm interested to see how the sanctuary works but it seems to me like it could take even longer to select outfits. Not to mention I doubt it will be as smooth as the videos suggest. There will likely be a loading screen everytime you pause the game, or at least lag.

Re: Abou the "Sanctuary"

I don't like sanctuary.
It's not terrible idea and therefore doesn't bother me that much, but still, I don't like the execution of that idea.
Even though I could easily change my mind after I play the game.

Re: Abou the "Sanctuary"

no list that sound great
couldn't find my witch spotter hat or royal suit
and it was hard finding right sword

Re: Abou the "Sanctuary"

I hated the Fable 2 clothing/dye situation. The Sanctuary looks so much better. You can see the clothes on a human form without having to switch off your current clothes, and then you don't have to switch screens to get to the dyes... Can't wait!

Am I the only one who finds it rather... pointless?

I mean, it's very unpractical if you think about, maybe the other system was a bit monotonous, but it worked.
So, why fix what isn't broken?

It's not a matter of fixing what's broken, it's a matter of adding something new. Unpractical? It's not only helpful but it's far more interesting than the boring inventory system we've grown accustomed to in every other RPG.

Then again, if you don't like it, don't get the game.

Yeah the dye system in Fable II really sucked, and I'm glad to see they fixed that ^_^
