Activision snap up Bungie

Wonder how long it will take Activision to leech all the talent and money from Bungie and split them up like they did to Infinity Ward.

Bungie has just signed a ten-year exclusive multiplatform deal with Activision.

The pair have announced today that they have entered into an exclusive ten-year partnership to bring Bungie's 'next big action game universe' to market.

Under the terms of the agreement, Activision will have exclusive, worldwide rights to publish and distribute all future Bungie games based on the new intellectual property on multiple platforms and devices.

Bungie remains an independent company and will continue to own their intellectual property. Additional terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The alliance provides Bungie its first such partnership since splitting with Microsoft in 2007.

Activision claims the deal 'significantly broadening its global reach by providing the resources and support to develop, distribute and release games worldwide on multiple platforms and devices'.​

As long as Bungie stays independent and can bring in a fun universe they will remain up there with VALVe and Blizzard in my "Trusted Company Market."

They needed a new partner since Infinity-Ward is gone.

Hope Bungie doesnt get any restrictions like Infinity-Ward got.

Just thought id add for Firis that Activision is now actually Activision-Blizzard. Activision and Vivendi merged a lil while ago. Blizzard hasnt really had any staff changes atm so hopefully Bungie will be the same....hopefully (or like others have stated above they go the way of infinity ward and become a rotting husk of their former selves). You guys all probs know this but meh just thought i'd mention it (if i've said something stupid or wrong then tell me xD im good at getting my wires crossed)
