Advise

Ok, well I pretty much have completed all of my video games. Now that I re-played them like 30 times, I'm bored. I have a girl friend and I want to go on a date with her, but I never have the time or the money. There is a new elder apartment that open close to my house. They hire 14 year olds. All I have to do is serve food to the old people. It pays 7 bucks an hour.


I need the money, but I don't know if I should get a job. AND I REALLY NEED A NEW GAME!

Should I apply?


And a side of all that, I need a good game.

What do you guys suggest?

Do it, Triz. Starting work young will help you later in life. Especially if you are going to be around old people. You can learn some interesting stuff and hear some cool stories. Plus money is always great. Just have a good work ethic, be kind, and make them dolla' dolla' bills.

I would get the job and sell some of the games you're sick of.

$7 per hour? That's like, what, £3.50 an hour over here in the UK? I know the rules are different over there but, over here, anything under £5.50 would be under minimum wage. Try selling your body instead.

Also, yeah, pre-order Grand Theft Auto 4 when you manage to scrape up the cash. Alternatively you could go for Call of Duty 4 with a 12 month Xbox Live Gold subscription, if you're looking for a decent multiplayer game.

i got a job when i was 14, £4 an hour. get the job, but always have your eye out for a better offer...

and what games u got? there are some oldish gems out there and we cannot recommend anything except games that have not been released unless we know what you got.

You're 14 - get whatever you can for work coz like Freak said, it's a good start. You need to learn early on the discipline of getting up and going to work so that when you have to do it to survive, you aren't one of those people who call in sick all the time so they can stay home, eat pizza and stare at the TV.

Plus you'd be surprised what you can learn from others - these people will be grateful for your help and can teach you a lot about life - after all, they've all been there before you so a bit of hindsight can be handy ;)

I don't know about GTA4. Isn't only for Playstation 3? I never been a huge fan of GTA. I never really been into war games either. :(
I have a lot of games. I have:
The Orange Box
NBA Street: Home Court
Perfect Dark: Zero
Assassin's Creed
Def Jam: ICON
etc

What about Gears of War? Was that a good game? What was it mainly about?



EDIT: I think I'm going to go with Mass Effect. I'm in the fourms but I don't have the game! :lol:

i have a job at a local pub being a Kitchen Porter (washer up' er) and i also help the chef cook the food, £4 pounds an hour (9 dollars i think) bit of a crappy job but gets me the casgh, nice to see u triz aint seen u on ages

i agree with being kind but not to make the peeps happy,but that is almost as important,but to get tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiips

.. Why does everyone talk gettho? :lol: Well, I'm going to apply in 2 weeks ( when all my testing is over and not that much more studying ).
