Again, Need Help.

Well if you knew before, my Xbox has been playing up.

But now it keeps switching from 2 red lights to 3 red lights. (RROD)

So, Now what?

Im trying the towel trick as I speak (Type.)

Re: Again, Need Help.

take it to customer service, or give it a health potion, should you have any to spare

Re: Again, Need Help.

Make sure all the cords are plugged in, and plugged in tight. See if your power cube isn't properly plugged in.

If not, I have no idea. When my Xbox 360 got the RROD (3rd or 4th time) I just hit it on the top and it started working again.

Re: Again, Need Help.

^ Yeah i usually hit my things, Might give it a go, I got nothing to lose.

Re: Again, Need Help.

Well, the hitting thing work.

GO DESTRUCTION!

Re: Again, Need Help.

I wouldn't make that a regular thing. It's still covered by a special warranty if it's got the RRoD, and you don't want to void it by using "quick fix" solutions.

Still though, hope it doesn't go awry (love that word) again.

Re: Again, Need Help.

Awry? eh? A new and exciting word!

Okay, My Xbox poop'd itself again.

Re: Again, Need Help.

I'd send it away to MS, assuming it's still covered.

Re: Again, Need Help.

yeah, thats the best option. one less problem for you, and a guarenteed long term fix :D

Re: Again, Need Help.

Hop on Xbox.com and register it for repair (if its available in your country) & get it sent off. Dont want it dying on you when theres a game you really want to play out.

Re: Again, Need Help.

^ Yeah i did that, But they lack User-friendly.

They're so complicated, I tel lthem that its ahppening and all they send me are things to stop it, not the way to send it to them.. I tried everything, it doesnt work, I told them that, but they send me the samething.

If you register for repair you dont have to speak to anyone. Just register it, arrange a pick up with UPS (or whoever the collection company is there) and thats it. I didnt speak to one person and was arranged in 10mins. The register for repair option is in the support section. You will have to put your serial number in to see if its still covered though. My friends 360 had RROD recently for 2nd time and his was out of warranty but they still took it for free anyway. Sent him a new machine instead of repairing it again. He had new one in 7 days.

Repair Status - Xbox.com Support

Its at the left side under Console Management - Register a Console - Repair a Console etc.
