Re: Aging in fable 2

A fountain of youth woul be cool. And I agree with whoever said aging would be tied to major quests. after quest x you gain a year or two or 5, but so does everything around you. And I hope they do something cool about dying. I also want to be a kid longer as well. And instead of a stick, a sling shot.

Re: Aging in fable 2

I don't want this to turn into Star Wars, and I doubt it will, but the idea of starting training at an early age sounds great, like the way they do with the Jedi.

The Aging needs to change because I don't want to have to look at my tv screen and see a 65 year old hero fighting Jack of Blades...not really appealing.

Re: Aging in fable 2

Well, they've already confirmed that 50 years will pass :-P Tough luck there. Hopefully it won't be as bizarre and the other characters will age with you (Briar Rose was how old, now?). That was really weird. Although an aging hero was something I liked myself, since you don't get too many older heroes of any sort.

Re: Aging in fable 2

i noticed in fable tlc that you look older but other people dont

Re: Aging in fable 2

oh yeah. They skip 23-30. I was 32 and I aged 5years younger. Annd it went back to 32

Re: Aging in fable 2

I notice that this is a... 10-month-old thread. Perhaps you could not resurrect old threads with new comments?

Re: Aging in fable 2

I say its better then cramming a new one into the bunch.

I would think that age dispersal would relate to the advancement of the story through the story missions. It makes sense that each major quest you complete would have an advancement of time, to allow the results of your actions to take root and grow.

Re: Aging in fable 2

one year of age for every hour of play. you could finish the game by the time you're still 30...and they could incorporate more ways of knocking years off of your character with elixer of life quests or getting a job for the chapel of avo or skorm...

Re: Aging in fable 2

I would want it very realistic so you get a year older every 365 days in the game

naaaaaa to long just aging once eveery week would do

Re: Aging in fable 2

Well, the average movement of time is as follows: second in realtime = minute in gametime, minute in realtime = hour in gametime, so then every hour equals a day in the game. So every 365 hours, or in our time every 15 days, the game passes a year.

If with G_M2's idea of every week, use the portion of a week in gametime, then every 7 hours of playtime, the game will pass a year.

Now if I were to imply the physics of space in time in relation to that of the game's universal time allocation, then we can clearly see that...

True, it's not an overly-thoroughly-enforced rule, and once isn't "continually," but

The Rules said:
Continually reviving old topics (bumping) is not allowed, please wait an appropriate amount of time before replying to you own topic in order to raise it to the top of the 'latest posts' lists.
Still implies that it's bad to do so. That, and I think this subject has been a bit talked out, and there's no new info...

But what the hell, not my problem. Yap away.

Re: Aging in fable 2

I would believe that as long as there is still on-topic activity within the said thread there is no issue to be had. I say this in relation to the activity has been over an account of a few days, not just in a moment. I could be wrong of course, I am still too new here to fully understand the concept of it all. I am to understand that people do work these systems differently.

None-the-less, I will make the furture effort to be sure to always examine the most previousd ate of a topic before I continue.

Re: Aging in fable 2

i like the 365 hours one

Re: Aging in fable 2

[applauds] Yay, you managed to edit! I am delighted.

Also, I DO agree that the aging is broken, and I think I would prefer there be actual time in the game, instead of only you aging and only as you level up. Side from that, no opinion.

Re: Aging in fable 2

yeah waay back in like gta 3 the whole one second = 1 min and 1 min = 1 hour and so forth for time was made i do believe

Re: Aging in fable 2

I hope the aging is slower fable 2 but in fable TLC I found a quest that lets you save the cheif of Knothole Glades son but I didn't finish instead I went to the temple of avo and paid the max amount of money to reduce my age and then I hero saved it and now my cheracter is 18

Re: Aging in fable 2

Yeah, there are three times you can do that. The first is during the quest through Darkwood, where you can use the temple of Skorm. The second is while you visit Witchwood for the first time. And then you have the third.

If they are really making the game life-like as possibly, then there is a good chance that it have constantly moving time. As long as they don't attempt to make it like Animal Crossing with the time always moving even if the game is off.

Who knows though, they might just make another way to grow younger, which would be awkward once you finally come back home and your husband/wife see you as you are. What a Twist!

Re: Aging in fable 2

the more you upgrade the older you get so just never upgrade lol :P
