Its actually a common practice to ask weird questions like that, to catch the people off-guard. For example;
"You carrying anything I should know about? Any weapons or something that'll stick me? Any guns, knives, needles or tanks?"
An innocent person would go "Tanks? In my pockets?!". But the person the cop was asking (it was on an episode of COPS) simply went "No, no, no...." which raised the officer's suspicion and in the end the guy turned up to be a drug runner with guns and dope on his person.

That's actually how I found it. It was on a segment in a talkshow that goes through various youtube memes, like the lightsabre guy, etc.
I love the brightly coloured police cars. Great for getting the attention of deaf people.

Aww man, and I thought I ran into a cool cop when me and my friends were stopped by one. We eventually got into a conversation with him, and he told us about how he found 2 crackheads having sex in a park. But he never told us to blow on the pie...
