Am i a good writer?

Ok, i was thinking about becoming a proffesional writer for my career choice, but i wanted too know if people thought it would be a good idea?

Well you'd have to work on your spelling and punctuation, considering I could spot quite a few in that single post - but sure.

I believe that if you work hard enough, you're able to do anything you set your mind to.

Luke, I've read some of your poems, great. I don't think I've read stories or books or anything of yours. you'd be a great poet for sure. I don't quite know about the whole book thing

Yes you are a amazing writer and I would probally buy ure books, if it turns out you probally will become a succesful writer. I mean you are like my fav writer on this forum. So you got a fan here

I think your someone who shows interest in writing and is looking to improve.

You have potential, I'll give you that much, but from what I've seen you rush. Slowly down. Look up writing practices. Get with your English teacher and explain you'd like to improve your writing. Look for local writing groups.

Thanks for the advice yours is the advice i really value tbh, i mean since i started posting stories on here you were hard on me D: being a proper critic and i started off hating you for it, but as i stopped being such an uptight ass i started taking your advice and ive improved i think

Just a website full of prompts. You choose one and write about it. It's a great way to stretch your creative muscles.

To start, I will admit that I have bad punctuation, and sometimes, I will start a sentence wrong.

i = I and only equals I if I is alone. The end of a sentence ALWAYS has a punctuation mark, whether it be . ? or !.

You also must type the words out...

I can't help you with this one, unless I rip on you a little, sorry..

Well, two things I have not covered in there. I will start off with the first I noticed.

Last thing I can remember.

to = going to something (example,) I want to go to the diner, or I drove my car to Paris. (not seriously...)
too = (example,) Too much (that is how I think of it.)
two = 2

you guys really do need to lay off the whole "improper grammar" BS, it's because you're on a forum, and it's not like it matters that you have bad grammar on a forum, it's not important if you use proper punctuation, or spelling, and crap like that, because it's not important on a forum

But we're not talking about posting on a forum here - we're talking about being a professional writer. And without being able to write properly, you're not going far in that choice of career.

So? It's not like dragonmaster has gone around cracking down on everyone's grammar outside of this thread. As far as I can tell, he has only done so in this thread and here it is a very valid point to make.
