Seeing as I lost my chance to do nano because my computer crapped out on me, I'm going to give my novel another shot.

Problem is, I don't really like my original idea anymore.

I'm open to suggestions. The genre must be Sci-fi and/or Fantasy.

Actually if you have already written your ideas down somewhere they are yours no matter what. (but for example - Tyloric`s ideas, which he posted only here, but now edited out, it would be legal to steal them and use them as my own)


Anyway - I kinda liked your idea, Tyloric. However, you seemed to have mixed hardcore magic with hardcore sci-fi. I`d prefer it to be leaned more towards one. Less magic, more sci-fi; more magic, less sci-fi. But that`s just me.

Ever read a short story by Fredrick Phol called The Tunnel Under The World?

That's the sort of Sci-Fi I like, and it can be done in so many ways.
