Anti-American Bias in European Media?

Interesting. From a business standpoint, or just in general? I thought European schools had a foreign language or two as necessary courses.

Well, sure. In Sweden you have to pick between French, German or Spanish. But who cares about French? I picked it because the teacher was stereotypically hot, not because I was planning on using French.

Same as here pretty much, though our school did it on an alternating basis year after year my year landed on German and I was quite good at it at the time (got a B at GCSE). Now I only remember parts of it and can read some but not very good at speaking it.

That's all the French I needed when the family went to France.

Fascinating. Of course you have to take the class with the hottest teachers, but there's the difference. My school didn't have any "required" FL courses, but you could voluntarily sign up for them. I went through all of primary school without a single FL course. Naturally, when I went to college I chose both German and French (and at the same time), so that was fun.

In retrospect, I should've picked German. It would make my frequent booze runs to Germany a lot easier. Unfortunately the teacher was a bitchy old skank.

In any case, I ask all of you Europeans, Australians, Asians, and Africans: Have you noticed an anti-American bias in your media at all? Have you noticed any otherwise unreasonable dislike from people you've encountered? Do you hate America and if so, why? To those who hate America, have you ever been there?
