Wasn't expecting to see a Dream Theater video after those two, but I do love me some DT now and again. As for the band you listed, nope, never heard of 'em and no I do not really like them. Death Metal is a difficult genre for me to get into, too many bands that sound the same and I can't understand the lyrics..

In all honesty, I hate it when people say that. But that's one song I've had to say that about, then people are like "oh yea i stopped it 5 seconds in the first time but yea the chorus is cool". But hey, it's not for everyone

I like Metallica the Black album and I only really like or listen to 2-3 songs on that album, my favorite song is Nothing Else Matters and that has no growling, and my growling I mean INTENSE the whole song is growling..growling.

Growling as in a growlish tone, Hetfield definitley did that during the late 80s at live performances. I wouldn't describe death metal vocals as growling through, sounds more like demonic yelling... or a grizzly bear going through a meat grinder.
