Anyone else miss greatswords?

Call me nostalgic but in the first Fable I only ever used Greatswords when I had the money for them, and even though I cuddled up close to light weapons more than anything else in the newest installment I would've liked the option.

So...

Anyone else miss things from the first game that seem like they would've been appropriate in the newest installment but where left out regardless?

Yeah I wish they would have carried greatswords over to fable 2.

I don't, now that I have played Fable 2 a lot of times, it would take a very strong person to swing them. I am also very fond of the guns.

Yeah moonfever has made a very valid point, I would much rather have guns then greatswords

I agree, totally. I love my new pistols and rifles, but I think greatswords are on the same level as the heavy weapons in Fable 2. I mean, have you SEEN the master hammer? I mean, jings! It's huge!

I don't know about anyone else, but the one thing i miss the most was the air guitar expression. That was the best expression from fable 1 and they didn't carry it over.

One more thing i was thinking was wouldn't it have been cool for them to carry over some particular legendary weapons. not avo's tear or the sword of aeons but it would have been awesome the harbinger (my personal favorite weapon from fable 1) or another of the leg weps had made an appearance.

Not really. They did a bang-up job on "brutalizing" the hammers and axes in Fable II, so my brutish needs are fulfilled without the great sword.

guns ruined fable 2 for me in a sense like engineering on WoW ruins it for me its supposed to be a acient storyline and looook oh hai im a wizard with a pistol or a rifle

yea I miss great swords but id only carry a master one with health mana and exp augmentions mainly for show and low level creatures banitds balverines etc minions summoners boss's etc over to master katana. unless ive got the sword of aeons then I just keep that out unless I used to want to bonk a villager over the head with the M greatsword but mianly 1h katana or sword if i was good, tear of avo = fat

the idea of greatswords was cool but honestly i never used them. in fable 1 i just used an obsidian katana until i could get the harbinger....
and as tsuyu said, there is even less room for them in fable what with rifles...like fighting a switchblade with a butterknife
