Arfur, Barnum, and Giles

Arfur is evil, and the hero is mixed up with him. He goes back to his home, he shared with his sister, and he's there.
Barnum, is a slightly bad business, man, and probably needs help. He takes pictures.
Giles, was a town guard, and put away a lot of bad guys. He comes to find the hero, when his family is threatened.
Anyway, I'm thinking these are choices the hero, has to make, who to help, and what path to take. Any feedback on this.

Re: Arfur, Barnum, and Giles

I think we have more than the Good and Evil alignment paths now. Helping Giles represents Good, helping Arfur represents Evil, and Barnum would equal the middle man, working to make a living. I suppose working with Barnum with represent that you wish to work on wealth more than you do saving the world or being a hero.

Not neccesarily, Barnum, is poor, horrible at making money . Not sure how he fits in, maybe help him somehow? Says in the article, he's bad at making money. Talks to much, with words, people don't understand. That's one reason, I'd like some feedback.

Re: Arfur, Barnum, and Giles

They will definitely be important choices in the hero's journey. You can choose to help Giles or help the bandit clan. I would have a hard time helping the bandits I think. I'm going to help Giles and tell Arfur to ****-off the first time through.

Edit: That **** was urinate not fornicate ;)

I know, I would help the ex- town guard. We're going to run into a lot of people, who will want to sway or tempt us. With 50 hours of npc's dialog, it should prove quite interesting.:) Those are just the first three, that really aren't that important, except to mold the hero, to be either good or bad.

Re: Arfur, Barnum, and Giles

whats amazing is that these people arent even MAIN characters yet they have this amount of effort put into them.

And the fact that some may not even be available due to how you played in the begging makes the replay value shoot through the roof

I agree. I'm so excited, did you notice the breadcrumb trail, leading to Arfur, where the young hero once lived with her sister? He reminds me of an Oliver Twist character.:)

Re: Arfur, Barnum, and Giles

I went back, and listened 3 times, It's something like;
"Looks like you're not gonna last a day longer" and then Back and forth to my throat from me." Sounds as if he's threatning the hero, to me.

Re: Arfur, Barnum, and Giles

yeah he talks like too fast it catches me off guard

all i know is the guard says "i wont rest till hes hung" or something like that

If he's talking about the bad guys, that's a great possibility.

Re: Arfur, Barnum, and Giles

I could be wrong but i swear i hear "i wont rest till i see him hung" or something like that

That is what I heard too.

I think he is trading food with the hero in exchange for something. As he is an Evil character I think this will be our first " test of morale ". Starving, or doing something unethical and get food for the day?

The counterweight will be Barnum I think.

Re: Arfur, Barnum, and Giles

hmm i thought it was like "you wont last another day *mumble* *mumble*"
