Armor for your dog???

SO i was watching that demo where the dog went to fight the band of three hobbes while the hero shot them with a gun. the dog dident appear to last long without being hurt. I thik they should let you put armor on the dog to make him live longer when hes fighting enemies. just a idea...

Those Hobbes are still gonna kick its ***, it just makes it look like they are kicking a can, Haha. But serously, that might be an interesting idea, and you can even have the ninja dog thing with holding a dagger in its mouth. Ninja Dog!

Well i know its still gonna get its **** handed to it but the armor would make it last LONGER in fights without healing. therefore letting you shoot the hobbes from a safe range so you dont get hurt:ninja::lol:

Or maybe you are not supposed to let the dog do all the tanking...? And the dog appears "immortal" in the sense that it can't die, merely be knocked unconcious. Making it take an enormous ammount of damage before getting knocked out... I dunno, just doesn't sound.. fair.

Maybe you have to buy resurrection potions for it? But can choose when to ressurect it? Hehehe, dog in a jar.

But yes, I like that idea. Armor for your dog is good.

dude i think that armour for your dog would be a good idea

but also would that just want to make ur dog tank all of the enemies whilst you sit back and shoot the enemys but take none of the damage, as i have read the dog dies so doing that would be pointless, plus i think as the dog has some level of story like significance they wont let it die so wudnt it do the same as important charectors in oblivion(fall unconcious).

but as i said good idea

I highly doubt there will be dog armor. It seems pretty impracticle, not to mention dogs have never been, and never will be used as weapons of war.

Armor might be a good idea, but maybe if the dog dies it will come back as a ghost and then kick some serious ***.

No... I do recall Peter M. saying the dog will die. The dogs state will change, showing if it is injured and whatnot. Remember in the demo how after the dog was hurt by the Hobbes it began limping toward you covered in blood?

He also said that you can abondon it when its injured but it will somehow find you like if your playing a pub game or what not. the dog will be..a stalker :ninja:

I still don't like the idea of dog armour. Not one bit. This aint WoW were you let your pet do the tanking while you stand back and shoot - this is Fable II. Remember, the dog is your HUD and your trusty companion.

The dog can give some ankle biting support, but YOU are the hero after all.

The dog can give some ankle biting support, but YOU are the hero after all.

I would have to agree, the dog is not your main weapon neither will it be really tough. Its meant to seem vulnerable and your meant to be the Hero as Tsuyu said and be the protector of your dog as it guides you and acts as your HUD and you are the warrior doing the quests and following it.

It would make your character look weak if some dog went around killing things for you all the time, they would have to explain why your dog differs from anyone elses and what makes your dog so tough.

Naturally, there will have to be punishment in the game. If you let your dog die in combat, then you obviously don't deserve it and then there is no reason to bring the dog back from death.

Besides that, if you are a hero, and being good is your thing, then protecting someone or something is always a criteria; even if the dog gets in an accident, life will have to pass and there can be no change.

So I say no ressurection for the dog. If it dies, it dies.

but then you havent got a minimap thing have you? and dont forget that all the dog toys at the shops will be pointless to buy.and the dog armour if there is any will be pointless. unless you wear it. i say u should be able to find/buy another dog if/when your original dog dies. altyhought his is all a little off topic....
