Good to you suffering, your name obviously does not reflect your character. To replace a dearest friend that is a pet is showing that you no longer would care for the one that had passed. You can always get a new pet to keep you company and be your friend, but never shall it replace your closer pals.

Dog armor seems kinda unrealistic to me, I just cant picture a Iron-clad dog running around. Armor on a dog would probably hinder how fast it can run, plus a dog probably wouldn't enjoy carrying 50 pounds of armour on its back, thats more of a horse thing. Maybe if it was leather, or chain mail?
