Owned by Richard Branson and formerly NTL ;)

Virgin. "Virgin"!. As sexy as it might be, it is sorta a stupid name aint it? I mean, a virgin has never done... "it". So Virgin Media could be seen as "We've never done Media". :ninja:

Re: Ask The Staff 'Anything'

Well anyway, is it just me having problems? I don'thave the same problem on the ACX forum...

(FunFact: My Dad went to college with Richard Branson... Infact, He was my Dad's roommate. Unfortunately I'm sure Mr. Branson has forgotten my Dad by now, as he is never mentioned and I have not met him).

you sure he was roommates with the same Richard Branson in college?
the Richard Branson of Virgin media?
cause Richard Branson dropped out of school at 16 and never went to college =]

Re: Ask The Staff 'Anything'

Whatever High School, College in the UK is different than College in the USA.

Anyway, my dad joined the air force when he was like 18. And I am 100% sure it's thesame dude, as even My grandma knows they were friends.(lol)

At 16, Branson quit school and moved to London, where he began his first successful business, Student magazine. When he was seventeen, he opened his first charity, the "Student Valley Centre".

......

when did I mention the USA? O.o

Re: Ask The Staff 'Anything'

I don't know exactly as my Dad doesn't really care (Regret,Jealousy?) But Honestly, I swear to god that my dad knew the guy. My dad even turned down a partnership since back then Branson was just a random guy with a big idea, and my dad being the realist he is thought Branson was crazy. Anyway I don't think they went to school together, they probably somehow ended up living together for some reason.

(I was going to write a whole freakin biographical piece about my dad, but it seems my time is up, as in school the internet shuts off at 11... I guess I'll just ask my dad about him some time).

PS. Believe whatever you want to believe, but this is true... Well partly... The part about them being roommates and the partnership thing. [/rant]

Nontheless, when this gets fixed, does that mean you two will be online on a bit more.. regular basis? Because the Tsuyu has been missing you guys lately. :'(
Pretty much, yeah. Me and Sharon finally managed to get broadband set up in our new house today - so that means I don't have to keep popping back and forth from my dad's house to access the intarwebs. I've finally managed to get my hands on xbox Live too, and it rules. I got my backside handed back to me on Splinter Cell: Double Agent and Gears of War for the past few hours but it was the best fun I had in ages. ^_^

Oh yeah and I'll be uploading pics of the new place soon. ;)

Hm.. Not trying to be a pest or anything, but I PMed Steve quite a while ago about the problem with the top stats?

When I click top 10 stats, and then try and change it to anything other than 10(eg. Top 100) It just brings me back to the main forum page.
Sorry if I didn't reply before, droded. I vaguely remember your PM but cannot remember if I replied or not; I normally make it a habit to reply to all queries though. However, regarding the problem: I'll need to upgrade the modification to the latest available version and that should rectify the issue.

Why can't us normal people delete our own posts?

... I thought that all the Bards could delete their own posts O.o

Re: Ask The Staff 'Anything'

No, not that I would ever want to, but I can't. Unless there is something that Steve hasn't told me.

well, he wouldn't really need to tell you... when you went in to edit a post you would have the option to delete it entirely...
I assumed that Bards, being Staff, would have that ability since the Supporters do... guess not =]

No real reason, I just prefer it this way.

Edit: Just to clarify for everyone: the ability to delete your own posts is reserved for subscribers and staff members.

Could we add the boldness back?
To where? Are you referring to the 'Top Stats' area? Just a stab in the dark.

Re: Ask The Staff 'Anything'

The only problem I can think of is that PCs with bigger monitors (I am on my laptop now, but my PC has a rather big monitor) might have problems.

I am not sure, I will check on it later, but just a heads-up.;)
