asking for advice.

Hey so i've never really asked for advice on anything but something really weird just happened to me. I was watching an episode of mash and the ending was kinda sad so my eyes watered up a bit, nothing unusual about that though.

The I got up to go to the computer and ended up crying for about 5 minutes, full on crying. I'm not sad about anything though and I was even kind of laughing, so what the hell was that about? I don't think it was mash either because it wasn't that sad.

Re: asking for advice.

I had a bit of a sulk the other day, But had a pretty valid reason.. My dad argued wit hme, then said that im a disgrace to the family and whatever I do in my life is pointless.. I mean, Why would you say that to your son? What a prick..

Re: asking for advice.

Probably all the pent up emotion you've been keeping since the last time you let out a burst of emotion like that.

Happens to me at times too.

Re: asking for advice.

could be emotion, usually when at a loss you can try and remember any recent dreams to possibly point to the source. if you come down with conjunctivitis in a day or two, you'll know you weren't crying. :)

I explode every other week or so. It's like a period, only with rage instead of blood. It keeps me balanced. It keeps me from taking the physical form of the lovechild between Rambo and the Terminator and walking through dog-parks twisting everyone's necks as I pass them. To help the balancing process I also take meds..... sort of. In moderation, alcohol is your friend.

Self-medicating with alcohol is about the worst thing you can do for yourself. Coming from a family of alcoholics and mentally-unstable, stubborn Russians, yea I know what I'm talking about because I've seen it time and time again.

Re: asking for advice.

^Yay Russia.

Yeh, I know whatcha mean though saint, I have similar things, I normally don't do anythign and it will pass in a few days, if it hits harsh I will write poetry and watch Comedies, sometimes throwing in a blog rant or two (Not in front of your friends though, I learned that the hard way)
If it starts to affect your social life, take some medication, like John Doe said, Responsible alcohol, Maybe get a little buzz off something.

In Context ;)

Seriously though, yeah... Professional... I am training to be a psycologist, I will need some business in a few years, rign me up.

Re: asking for advice.

Psycologist, huh?

Anyway. It all depends on your age. If your 12 or something like that *cough* Dr. Doom *cough* it probably is the hormones kikin in. If your 20 or something, it was probably that mash episode. I think I know which one. Was it the one where he had to leave the entire show in a helicopter? That was pretty sad.

What's the point in mentioning him? No one cares about him anymore.

On topic - My advice is to consult a psychiatrist or a therapist if anything like this were to happen again. If not, I wouldn't consider it a potentially serious problem.

Re: asking for advice.

I have to agree with mentioning Dr Doom, I don't remember nor do I care about him or what he deserved to be mentioned.

Re: asking for advice.

I think who ever said it was pent up emotion was right... Probably.

It was the episode where they have a replacement surgeon who can't cope with all the casualties by the end. Anyway, thanks for all who said stuff, but me being a private person who doesn't talk about anything to anyone was probably the reason.

So this guy asks me for a gumdrop and I say why do you want your gum dropped?...
