I'm holding it in my hands...

By the way, why was there a pair of 3D glasses in the plastic wrap?

EDIT: Well, I'm pretty far into the game now. Did anybody else here get it recently?

Holy sh*t! Alright, I don't really care if this is a double post, partially because nobody responded to this thread at first, but mostly because I just finished Revelations. Whoever else has it, whenever you finish it, I believe a discussion is in order. After all, the ending of this game did just cause me to stumble and roll around my room spouting meaningless gibberish...in a good way.

Id have purchased it if it werent for Skyrim, now its going to be a game I put on the Christmas list.

I was just asked what I wanted for Cristmas, is the game good? How's gameplay?? Are the Revelations amazinggg? I love the series a good mind melt for sure.

The gameplay is basically the same as in Brotherhood with a few extra features made possible by the hookblade of the Ottoman assassins. And the story is just as amazing as ever. It gives quite a bit of information that we were left wondering about after AC2 and ACB, but I won't spoil that for you. Now, there were a few things about this game I wanted to mention. Let's see if I can remember them all.

First...Altaïr's voice...I seriously can't believe they did this. This is the first and only complaint I've ever had about Assassin's Creed. They completely changed Altaïr's voice. First of all, he sounds a little bit French. And second, I realize they made a mistake by giving him an American accent in AC1, but regardless of what he sounded like before, changing it now makes it worse. I didn't feel like it was actually Altaïr, which sucked because I was really looking forward to revisiting his life.

Ah, I also wanted to mention that this game has a very unique feel to it, which takes some getting used to, but it is very cool. The reason I say this is because ACR is like a hybrid between a main numbered installment of the series (like when a new protagonist, time period, and location are introduced) and a continuation of an existing protagonist's story. We have an entirely new location with a new atmosphere, new characters, new objectives, new language, new everything, but it's still Ezio, who we've all associated with Italy for the past two years. Like I said, it can be a little strange at first, but it turns out to be quite interesting and fun.

I'll post more later if I realize I forgot something.

I liked the first one the most, fresh, to the point, and clean. The others seemed like they were straying off the path if you will.

skyrim cleared my gaming calendar for a good month; then its saints row 3 after.

...

Shut up its hella fun and you know it

So I take it it's good then? After the shortcomings of Brotherhood I had my doubts.. I really hated traversing Rome..

Is Constantiople designed well? I sure hope so.

What? You didn't like Brotherhood? What was wrong with it?

I didn't find the storyline as engaging as 2 and 1. I also didn't like the city too much, it Felt too clustered. Other than that the combat was great and the numerous side missions and challenges.

I'm assuming you mean Ezio's story with Rodrigo and Cesare rather than the story of the entire series. I guess that story wasn't quite as good as Ezio's story in AC2, but I thought it was better than the story of AC1. The only exciting parts of that one were near the beginning and the end. I guess that's just not a big deal for me though. I don't care much about the story of each individual game. I'm in it for the overall story of the entire series.

And I really liked Rome. The mix between the city and the countryside really pleased me. I think the only location in Assassin's Creed that I started to dislike was Venice. Encountering those canals everywhere got annoying, and the story kept Ezio there way too long.

Constantinople was fun though. I didn't find many annoyances when roaming the city, and the ziplines can make traveling a little more fun.
