Auroran salt mine puzzle trouble

I have all 8 flitswitches on the pedistal, using an unwoven fire spell to activate them all at once but they wont do their thing. Is there some trick to this that I am missing or have I hit a glitch?

stupid question...... You did do the Fireball spell large enough to cover the entire platform right.

Yes it hits the entire platform

Yes I have, a few times.

then my only other suggestion would be to load from a previous save and do it over again unfortunately

Doesnt much matter now, my save got corrupted.
