Bad Disc

I just bought Fable 2 and I started playing to find out that it freezes up frequently. I know it isnt my xbox. I got it to work by downloading it to my harddrive. Has anyone else had the same problem.

my first and main file have huge slowdown times it take me like 3 seconds just to turn around... its not the 'stuck in scene' glitch cus i can do every thing... be it in slow motion and its every where i go

fable 2 has compatability issues with the "new xbox experience". those slowdowns and freezes can be fixed by installing it to your harddrive. (highlight the game and press Y, select "install to harddrive")

so ive heard but lots of ppl say it dint help them, also if i want to take it off my hard drive wont it delete my saves?

I installed Fable 2 to my hard drive from the beginning and constantly get major slow downs in populated areas such as Bowerstone Market etc ever since I downloaded the DLC.
You can remove Fable 2 from your hard drive without deleting your save game files though.

after i let my friend borrow it, it would keep freezing so i installed it. but really it isnt worth the amount of space it takes up. im thinking of just renting it and switching the discs, then tell them that it doesnt work and i can switch it for a game i actually want to try

I have this same problem...seems to run completely fine if i turn off my HD and run it on AV cables instead (of course i didn't pay 300 dollars to play the freakin game as a rediculous blurry mess!!!). But it seems to be a faster fix than downloading to the harddrive. Anyone out there know if it will do this on every disc? by this i mean, is the problem certain Fable discs or is the problem my xbox? I dont want to go through the mess of returning four or five games to find out that every single one has the same problem. Its very disheartining since i have been looking foreward to this game almost the moment i heard of its making and now i cant even enjoy it...someone PLEASE give me some good news.

ive never heard of a game running more smooth on different component cables, i think they all run the same. but if your game is freezing its most likely your disc, regardless if you have no scratches on it or not, sometimes the discs just arent functioning properly. but if htis is the case for all of your games, then yea its your xbox that has a problem

Ive Never had problems with any other game other than the it freezing up every once in awhile. With Fable 2 it would freeze up every 5-10 minutes. Ive never had it happen that often. The most ive ever had is maybe 2 times a week on big games like oblivion or fallout 3

Fable 2 froze very frequently for me after I downloaded the new xbox experience but now I have put it on the hard drive it works perfectly. Must be a common thing.

yep so theres your solution, wheneer a disc starts to freeze or has scratches on it, just copy to the hard drive, unless its like my COD4 disc where it has a crack in the disc, on the inner ring, it copies 99% then it says the disc is unreadable. F*CK!

put the disc in the drive, go to my xbox and have it on the game disc panel then press "Y" and it will give you the option to install to hard drive, if your disc is readable of course though
